EVITA DI BELLA VITA Black Vigor of Bolivia x Engracia ARI#: 30481077 DOB: 7/3/06 Color: Light brown Evita is a stunning, light brown, full Bolivian beauty with gray face. She is out of the lustrous black sire, Black Vigor, and her dam, Engracia, is out of the black sire, Highlander, giving Evita close-up lines to black genetics. She is conformationally correct, has extreme suri phenotype with evenly colored fleece that is very soft to the handle, locked to the skin with high luster and good density. Her total body coverage completes a great overall package. Those characteristics have carried Evita to the top of her classes in the show ring during her debut 2007 season. Her first show was TxOLAN where she earned a 2nd place ribbon to the eventual color champion out of 7 in her class. Her second show was MOPACA where she placed a competitive 3rd out of 7 to females from Sweetbriar Suris and Alpaca Trading Company. It was such a close call that Judge Diana Timmerman had all three females grouped side by side to compare their fleeces in making her final decision. Then at GWAS, Evita won the blue ribbon in her very competitive class of 8 under Judge Amanda VandenBosch. Evita has an upright stature, curious and gentle personality, and should inhereit her dam's reproductive characteristics of easy and quick breedings, normal pregnancies, and uncomplicated deliveries with great milk production to sustain her crias. Awards: 2007 TxOLAN - 2nd out of 7 2007 MOPACA - 3rd out of 7 2007 GWAS - 1st out of 8 PRICE: Call for price

CHIQUITA DI BELLA VITA Aladdin of KPR x Chia Pet di Bella Vita DOB: 7/12/09 Color: Medium Fawn This cute little gal is one of the densest crias of the 2009 crop. She exhibits long staple length already in her short life and bright fleece full of character. It has a soft handle, and she is fully covered from head to toe. This cria has a very nicely shaped head, large soft eyes, good strong bone, and comes from stellar genetic lines on both sides of her pedigree. Her dam, Chia Pet, is a maternal half sister to our multiple champion, bred and owned herdsire, El Corazon` di Bella Vita. This maternal line has been the best producing line so far at Bella Vita. The reproductive characteristics are what every breeder should strive for - easy pregnancies, easy deliveries, plenty of milk to sustain cria growth and developement and very attentive moms. They are such easy keepers it make ranch life so much simpler. We keep most crias from this genetic line at Bella Vita, so this is a rare opportunity to add these genetics to your herd. It is a colorful line as well, with the head honcho dam, Cocoa Puffe (Chia Pet's dam), producing 2 black/bay black females so far in her reproductive life when bred to light and medium fawn males. Chiquita's dam, Chia Pet, is a blue ribbon and Reserve Color Champ fleece winner with fine, low-mircon fleece (see her listing for the data). Another added benefit of this dam line is that the alpacas are just down-right good looking with great heads, well proportioned with good bone, and long staple length to the fleece. Chia Pet's sire is MFI Capricorn, a blue ribbon male out of the well known Timoteo line. Chiquita's sire is Aladdin of KPR, a multiple champion bay black male owned by Front Range Alpacas and Heatherbrook Farm. He has the distinction of siring may other award winning cria. Chiquita will be a fabulous addition to any ranch looking for color genetics, award winning, low-micron fleece, and good reproductive characteristics.

AKA LOVELY LOLITA Altair's Sptunik x AKA Lil' Liza Jane Huacaya female, light fawn DOB: 9/12/08 ARI#: 31229715 This is a good size female with dense, light fawn fleece. She has good character and long staple length. Her sire, Sputnik, is a CL9 Altair son. The paternal female line goes back to Camilio and Starr Khan. Her dam is an LCA Matteo duaghter, Matteo being a 6 Peruvian Accoyo Elite son who has maintained excellent fiber stats at 10 years of age. On his maternal side, Matteo is grandson of Leon and the celebraed Navidad. Lolita has a rich pedigree and will bring density to the table. She comes with a breeding to any of our herdsires and is ready to breed. Her dam was bred to Corazon and had Caruso, also in our pen sale, so you can see the potential of that breeding for Lolita. She would make a great foundation animal and has been an easy keeper, same as her dam. FIBER STATS: Pending SHOWS: She has not been shown.

SONORA DI BELLA VITA Sparticus x Evana DOB: 6/29/10 Dark Fawn suri female ARI: Pending This is Sparticus' first cira and she is an exact replica of her impressive sire, giving us pause to contemplate that he might be a very prepotent herdsire. He has passed his same dark fawn, lustrous, very independently locked fleece to his daughter. Sonora is out of Evana, a large full Peruvian, 1/2 Accoyo female, and this cria is good size and growing rapidly. Her sire is a multiple blue ribbon winner and his fleece was the dark suri reserve champion at the 2008 AOBA national conference. Sparticus causes people to stop in their tracks in admiration when we walk him around at the shows and events. He is a very macho, good looking male and now can boast about his ability to pass on his excellent genetics. Sonora's paternal grandsire is our own Epic, a Baron son, and from the Cloudy Pass breeding program. Her dam is Evana, a daughter of full Accoyo Bolivar and out of a daughter of the famed medium brown Meteor. Meteor also produced Cantano, highest selling suri male at auction for $465,000, still the record holder for the highest selling suri at auction. Sonora has excellent bone structure with a very nice head. This is one beautful suri female! FIBER STATS: Not yet obtained (too young) SHOW WINS: Too young to show

SA TUSCAN'S LUNA DI BELLA VITA Sunny Mesa's Tuscan Gold x 6Peruvian Susquehanna DOB: 9/16/08 ARI#: 31229746 Pure white huacaya female (pink membranes) Luna is simply gorgeous with fleece stats that are near perfect. She has earned multiple ribbons, including blue at 2009 GWAS. Long staple length, full of character and very fine, this fleece is pure white - no fawn spots. Luna's micron was an impressive 14.7 as a cria and yearling fleece came in at 15.3 with low SD at 3.2. More remarkable was her medullated fibers of 0.9%! Add to this fantastic fleece her beautiful physical attributes, and you have a complete package. She is well balanced, has good bone, is very feminine in appearance and has a calm, quiet personality. For our goal of lingering fineness and elite fleece production, she fits the bill perfectly. Her dam has a reputation for producing stellar crias, and we have sold her other siblings off the ranch easily. Her beautiful fleece is being matched with her first breeding partner, Snowmass Alpine King. This cria should be exceptional. What a great foundation for a white line at Bella Vita! She is available for sale but not at a bargain price. Expect to dig deep in your pocket if you want this female on your ranch as we are perfectly happy to keep her here at Bella Vita. We challenge you to find another female available of her quality with her fleece stats. Fiber stats: 2010: AFD 15.3, spin fineness 14.9, SD 3.2, CV 20.6, , fibers greater than 30 0.2%, medullated fibers 0.9%, mean curve 58.3, SD curve 34.2, comfort factor 99.8%. SHOW WINS: 1st (out of 12) - 2009 GWAS - Judge Cathy Merkley figured Luna out very quickly. Kudos to her! 4th (out of 14) - 2009 MOPACA 6th (out of 8) - 2009 AOBA - This senior judge said 5 above her were finer - She was 14.7 micron. Humm... 3rd (out of 10) - 2010 TxOLAN 3rd (out of 11) - 2010 MOPACA 4th - 2010 GWAS, bred and owned yearling female. She actually took the gate in her regular class, dismissed by a senior judge. Astounding. She is a PERFECT example of why the show ring should NOT be the major driving force for your breeding or purchase decisions. It also shows what is lacking or faulty in our judging criteria and judges' training. She has walked at some shows in 2010 with her fiber stats and near perfect conformation. Density was sometimes cited as a factor for her placement at the shows. One judge actually said she was BY FAR the finest in the class, just not as dense as 1st and 2nd above her. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?

MARCUS' MIRACLE DI BELLA VITA Cloudypass' Peruvian Marcus x Evana di Bella Vita DOB: 11/1/08 Med Fawn Suri Female ARI#: 31229708 We just love this suri female. She is feminine, well balanced with true suri type and lustrous, fine fleece. We sell her dam's fleece, which was 17.2 micron as a cria, for $10/2 ounce bag. It is so close to silk. Miracle has the same fleece as her dam, only better locked and more lustrous, gifts from her sire, Marcus, who is a Montoyo (Ramilo) son. She has a very quiet personality, one of the calmest on the farm. We can stand her outside the stall and groom her and she stands perfectly still, much like our Arabian horses. No jumping, spitting or protesting. She is such a doll baby to work with. She is a good size female, not surprising since both parents are larger than the average suri, yet she has maintained true suri phenotype. She had a rough start in life, being born on a cold and very windy November evening, after 5:30 p.m. sometime, and not found in the barn at about 8:00 and just about frozen to death. We worked on her for several hours trying to revive her. Her eyes were fixed open, her breathing consisted of a gasp about every 30 seconds, and she was not moving - AT ALL. But to our total surprise, she made it. I told my husband if she did make it, it would be a miracle and that would be her name. Well, here she is, and totally normal. No residual from her birthday ordeal. Her dam, a maiden, stuck with the whole process, even when we had to take this baby to the house to put her in a bag and dunk her in a tub of warm water. With a little Karo syrup water for energy after really coming alive from the warm bath, she was under her very attentive and appreciative dam within 5 hours of birth nursing away. And she has grown into this beautiful yearling female that we just adore. She is a full Peruvian, 1/2 Accoyo medium fawn female who would be a delight on any farm and a great ambassadress for any who think suris are hard to handle. She'll prove 'em wrong! BREEDING STATUS: Miracle is currently breeding to Sparticus for a 2011 cria. To see the potential for this breeding, her dam has a female Sparticus cria at side, Sonora, that is simply spectacular. See Sonora's pictures and write-up on this page.

 Stardust as a Cria |
Cria fleece - luster galore! |
|
BVR STARDUST DI BELLA VITA Jack's Accoyo Gold Rush x Chloe Linn XTR DOB: 10/23/08 ARI# 31229777 white suri female This is a feminine, locked and lustrous suri female, 3/4 Accoyo and full Peruvian. Her sire is a son of import CPeruvian Accoyo Abel. Her dam is out of the medium fawn full Accoyo Chief Qualchan, son of the well known PPPeruvian Starbuck. Stardust demonstrates her genetic lines well with very lustrous, locked fleece and full body coverage. For those who appreciate Accoyo suri genetics, this female will bring those genetics to the table in lines that are not overly common in the US. She is a pretty female with a quiet personality. Her dam is an easy breeder and very attentive mom. These qualities should pass to Stardust who is ready to breed. We have several males that would be good breeding partners: Epic and Marcus to maintain the full Peruvian/Accoyo lines, or Sparticus to bring out any color potential while maintaining Stardust's beautiful luster and locks. Remember, her sire is a full Accoyo beige and maternal grandsire a full Accoyo medium fawn, so although she is white, she might pass color. Her dam is currently bred to Sparticus for an October 2010 cria.

Epic's Porcia di Bella Vita Cloudypass' Peruvian Epic x Chloe Linn XTR DOB: 10/13/09 ARI#: 31753012 Suri medium fawn female Porcia is a youngster with a lot of potential. She is maternal half sister to Stardust (see her pictures and bio on this page) and out of our GWAS color champion Baron son, Epic who is from the Cloudy Pass breeding program. Porcia is full Peruvian, 1/2 Accoyo with fine fleece that shows good independent lock structure and luster. Her dam is out of Chief Qualchan, a rare medium fawn full Accoyo sired by the well respected Starbuck. These are good Accoyo genetics not overly common in the US. Porcia comes with a breeding when she is of age to any of our herdsires. We would suggest Marcus to maintain Porcia's lock structure and luster, also maintaining her full Peruvian and 1/2 Accoyo heritage. If you want to bring more color into the genetic mix, she could be bred to our Captain Morgan son, dark brown Capitano Luciano, or even our full Peruvian Pistol son, Reload, who has well known gray genetics in his pedigree, he himself having a dark pewter gray neck with medium brown blanket, much like his champion sire from the Wildllfe Ranch suri program.

EPIC'S ESMERALDA DI BELLA VITA Cloudypass' Peruvian Epic x CPA's Sierra DOB: 9/16/09 ARI#: 31896351 Light fawn suri female This cute little gal is full sister to our herdsire Sparticus. She is light fawn with individually locked fleece. She has good luster with a correct frame and good body coverage. She comes from a line of early maturing, easy reproductive females with her full sisters ready to breed at very early ages, 13 to 14 months. They are well over 100 pounds and exhibit breeding behavior, achieving pregnancy with one breeding at this age. This is an obvious sign of excellent milk production to sustain such rapid growth in the crias who are ready to wean by 4 to 5 months of age. This genetic line will give you a 6-month minimum jump on investment. She has color in her pedigree as her dam is medium brown and out of a black herdsire. Her paternal grandsire is the well known PPeruvian Baron. Her sire, Epic, is a GWAS Champion and 1st place AOBA National winner. Esmeralda comes with a breeding to any Bella Vita hersdires. We would suggest Marcus.

PORCELLANA DI BELLA VITA Cloudypass' Peruvian Plato x Contessa di Bella Vita DOB: 10/24/08 ARI#: 31229784 light fawn suri female Porcellana is a nicely proportioned female sired by a son of Senor Peruvian Protocol from the successful Pines Edge suri program and bred by Alpacas at Cloudy Pass, another well known and very successful breeding program. She is out of a full sister to our stellar herdsire, Sparticus, and this female line is know for producing early maturing females, well over 100 pounds and ready to breed by 13 to 14 months of age. That gives you a jump on your investment by at least 6 months. There is obviosuly good milk production in this female line to sustain such rapid cria growth. Her maternal granddam is a medium brown out of a black hersdire, so there is dark color in Porcellana's pedigree. Porcellana has individually locked flat locks with good luster. She has a pretty face and good body coverage of her fleece. She comes with a breeding to any Bella Vita herdsires. We would suggest either Marcus to add density and luster or perhaps Reload, a dark brown/gray male to capitalize on the color in her pedigree.
