Sparticus di Bella Vita, Epic son

Contessa di Bella Vita, Epic's 2006 cria
CLOUDYPASS' PERUVIAN EPIC
PPeruvian Baron x Colorado Delilah (Aureo granddaughter)
Beige, full Peruvian, 1/2 Accoyo proven herdsire
DOB:  12/9/01
ARI No.:  833192

This is a proven, beige, full Peruvian, 1/2 Accoyo male with incredible density, tight rope-like lock structure and luster to boot!  Add that to this big-boned male, and you have the perfect herdsire.  His first cria at Bella Vita, Sparticus, hit the ground in 10/05 and is beautiful!  He is big, was 60 pounds at 2 months of age, has dark fawn fleece that assembled itself into locks from day one.  Sparticus was one of three offspring presented at the 2006 GWAS show that earned Epic a 3rd place ribbon out of 8 class entries, his first get of sire class.  Epic's contribution to improving the dam's fleece in this young male is very evident.  We were so pleased with this cria that mom was bred back to Epic.  The second cria of tihs pairing is also spectacular, just like her big brother.  Contessa, born in 10/06, is just as tall and stretchy as her brother with the same fleece characteristics that make Sparticus such a standout.   Epic stamps his beautiful typey head on his crias as well, along with his perfect topline, the best topline we have seen in the industry.

This breeding exemplifies our philosophy of combining the best genetics from all that South American alpacas have to offer, in this case beautiful color, early reproductive maturity, luster and large body capacity from the Chilean dam and the lock structure, dense fleece, luster, good bone and conformation from the Peruvian/Accoyo sire line.

Charlie Brown El Boliviano
Black Debut x Lucy Brown la Boliviana (Black Magic Daughter)
Light Fawn Herdsire - Full Bolivian
DOB:  8/13/03
ARI No.:  1013719

Charlie is a full Bolivian herdsire with close-up black genetics through both dam and sire. The judges consistently comment on Charlie's tremendous body capacity, excellent fiber coverage and extremely soft, silky handle to his fleece.  Not to mention he has the cutest face ever with very large, liquid, dark eyes that he gets from his dam.  We volunteered Charlie to the 2005 Judges training clinic in Golden, Colorado, and Dr. Brett Kaysen described Charlie's eyes as "bedroom eyes", and Judge Kristin Buhrman commented to the judges in training that she wished every male in her pasture had Charlie's conformation.  Charlie's sire, Black Debut, is one of Alpaca of America's premier black herdsires, and Charlie inherits his large bone and body capacity.  Both are built like linebackers.  Charlie has gray coloring to his muzzle and on his nose that runs into his topknot.  Charlie started breeding the summer of 2006, so we expect his first cria in June 2007.  With his head to tail to toe coverage, small spear-shaped ears and suri beard, he is sure to pass on a wonderful suri phenotype.  His regrowth fleece shows retainment of independent  lock formation, a sign of a quality suri fleece.

2nd place - 2004 ABR Fall Festival (youngest in his class of 4)

Berkeley's award winning fleece
Cloudypass' Peruvian Berkeley
SMA Bolivar (Durazno) x Viracocha (Bruxo/Torbia lineage)
White, full Peruvian, 3/4 Accoyo, Jr. Herdsire
DOB: 5/7/04
ARI No.:  1418132

Berkeley is a large boned, well proportioned male with lustrous fleece locked to the skin.  The influence of Durazno, Bruxo and Trobio is evident in this male, and his pedigree alone will turn heads.  Add on his sweet, easy going personality, and he is hard to resist.  Anyone who thinks suris are flightly and hard to handle needs to meet Berkeley who loves to have his neck scratched and will follow you around like a puppy.  Berkeley's sire, SMA Bolivar, has sired at least two color champions in his string of winners.  Bolivar is out of Durazno (Uribe), a rare fawn colored full Accoyo whose passing makes his offspring even more valuable.  Although Berkeley is white, he has two fawn spots on the back of his head, hinting he might pass on color.  Berkeley's fleece took the blue ribbon, Judge's Choice and Best Suri Luster awards at the 2005 ABR Fall Festival.  The same fleece took the blue ribbon with a score of 89 at the 2006 GWAS show.  The judge's comments on the score card were "Gorgeous handle!  Nice fleece."  Berkeley is ready to start his breeding career.

CAPITANO LUCIANO DI BELLA VITA
Captain Morgan x Lucy Brown La Boliviana
DOB: 11/10/06
COLOR:  Dark Brown with black points
ARI No.:  30696150
3/4 Bolivian, 1/4 Peruvian, 1/4 Accoyo

The birth of Luciano in Novemer 2006 marked the only male born of 8 crias that  year.  But what a male he is!  He is all we hoped for when we chose to breed our light fawn dam, Lucy Brown, to the one and only Captain Morgan.  Luciano is a spitting image of his famous sire, and he possesses an attitude and presence destined to catch the judges' eyes in the show ring.  At 4 months of age, he already had a full suri beard, and his fleece drips with luster as if he were pulled straight up from an oil can.  Tiny tight locks are forming in this young fleece independently to the skin from head to toe and front to back.  He has black points on his ears and muzzle, and his  feet/lower legs are starting to exhibit black color.  His rich maroon solid fleece just glistens in the sunlight.  This is a well balanced, stretchy suri male with excellent bite and beautiful head.  Top off Luciano's fearless personality and commanding presence, and we think we have a  great herdsire in the making.

DOB:  10/25/05
Color:  Dark Fawn
ARI:  30427792
1/2 Peruvian, 1/2 Chilean, 1/4 Accoyo

This absolutely breathtaking male stops people in their tracks when he goes on a walk at the shows.  His dark fawn locks and draping fleece swing as he walks and show off the luster inherited from his parents.  He is a large boned male with flat topline, dense fleece and generous coverage down his legs, with locking neck and topknot fiber.  He has a ropey lock style that originates from the skin.  He is a well proportioned male with that tall stretchy look characteristic of top quality suri alpacas.  He is an early maturing male, weighing 160 pounds at 15 months of age with adult size testicle already in place.  His presence, style, conformation and fleece have earned Sparticus blue ribbons at various shows, but the absolute best part of tihs male is his laid back personality and easy going manner.  He is a joy to handle, and our vet always comments that she wishes more people would breed alpacas with this temperament.

Sparticus is just about ready to start breeding, and we can't wait to see his offspring.  He will add size, bone, gorgeous fleece, early maturity and a great personality to his crias.
