NEW ADDITIONS TO THE RANCH!   THE SECOND CROP OF TUSCAN CRIAS HAVE ARRIVED! (2009)!!
The second set of Sunny Mesa's Tuscan Gold crias have arrived at Bella Vita, 6 females and 2 male.  They are even more stunning that the first crop, if that can be imagined.  Included are 2 black or bay black females, 1 medium fawn male, 1 light fawn male, 3 medium fawn females, and 1 white female.   Tuscan also put another black female cria on the ground for a client and a black male cria for another client.  Again, all crias look to be show quality. Follow our page of 2009 Tuscan crias for details as we get pictures uploaded and write-ups done.

Corazon's first cria arrived at Bella Vita the first part of November., a male with bright, curly fleece, and he has inhereited his sire's wonderful head.   We will be watching his development closely. Our Corazon partners, Jeri and Jerry Johnson, have a couple Corazon babies on the ground, and they also look promising.  The female, Skye, has earned 1st and 2nd place ribbons in the show ring in her first couple of shows.  The other cria is too young to show.  Congratulations to the Johnsons!

Maremma News:  We anticipate breeding  both females in the spring of 2010 as we alraedy have a wait list started.  It is not too late to add your name, however!.

Our Maremma sire, Vincenzo, received a unanimous excellent hip rating from all 3 reviewing radiologists at the OFA Foundation.  An excellent rating in a dog his size is rare.  An OFA rating on the hips of a dog helps predict the incidence of hip dysplasia.  Vinny's excellent rating is a great step toward ensuring his pups will have long and sound careers as livestock guardian dogs without the crippling effects of hip dysplasia.
