About 2 years ago, we went on a search for 2 or 3 females who would be the ultimate match for Tuscan Gold. Snowbaby’s dam, Nicolette, was one of those females. And has she delivered! Snowbaby is the perfect name for this female who is so pretty she looks like the figurine she is named after. She embodies all we wish for in an alpaca: upright, commanding presence, curious, confident, level top line, excellent bone, cutest face ever, great head, total body coverage, and fleece to die for. That fleece is fine, uniform and extremely bright white, gifts from Daddy. It has long staple length, a gift from Mamma, and is bundled with good density and a very soft hand, gifts from both parents. Tuscan Gold is passing on so many of his impeccable attributes to his crias, and Snowbaby is no exception. Her dam is our beautiful Apollo daughter, an easy keeper with great reproductive qualities and who also produced Carina by Grandmaster the year before which we have kept for our foundation herd. Snowbaby has been to 2 shows so far and has ribboned at both. Her future is as bright as her fleece. We were going to consign her to auction, but she sold off the ranch before we got that far. TUSCAN'S PLATINUM DI BELLA VITA Sunny Mesa's Tuscan Gold x SA Accoya Averanda DOB: 10/15/09, male huacaya ARI: 31754736 Color/Sex: Light fawn male Platinum is a rare son of Tuscan Gold as he has produced at least 75% female crias. He has the presence, conformation and stature of his sire, and his head is so similar to Tuscan it is uncanny. His fleece is a solid light fawn in color with good density, fine, bright with uniform crimpy character throughout and totally covers his perfect frame. He is growing rapidly, has a very upright carriage, level topline, and definitely catches everyone's eye. He is already exhibiting good, solid bone and a showy attitude. People tell us that our crias stand out in the crowd, and this boy is no exception. His dam is a daughter of Accoyo Avenger, a Royal Fawn son who sold at 1/2 interest for over $400,000. The Royal Fawn line is one of the most successful in the industry and known for density. Combined with Tuscan Gold, we have seen spectacular results in the crias. Tuscan's Mezzenotte di Bella Vita Sunny Mesa's Tuscan Gold x Bella Chocolat ARI: 31754682 DOB: 8/31/09 Color/Sex: True black female SOLD AT THE 2010 FUTURITY AUCTION, LOT #20. Congratulatins Sharon and Mark Milligan of Red Granite Ranch on the purchase of this female. She's simply gorgeous! And accepted into the prestigious 2010 Futurity auction. She is a solid true black Tuscan Gold daughter, and her fleece has a handle to die for. Soft and fine with the handle one is accustomed to in light colored fleeces, this fleece has uniform color and crimp style, from front to back, head to toe, skin to tip. Mezzenotte exhibits good bone and size for her age and comes from a dam line that has produced multiple champions. Her maternal uncle is our own El Corazon` di Bella Vita, a multiple champion herdsire, still earning fleece championships as a 4-year-old breeding male. Her dam, Chocolat, is our blue ribbon GWAS and AOBA winner and daughter of our senior dam, Cocoa Puffe. Another maternal uncle and paternal half brother, Prosecco, is our dark fawn champion junior herdsire, co-owned with Black Forest Alpacas. Sire Tuscan Gold has stamped his fleece characteristics, frame, head and presence once again on this cria. Mezzenotte has a quiet personality, her sire's upright stature, level topline, as well as his signature brightness of fleece. And what a beautiful head! Mezzenotte's dam line has stellar reproductive qualities. The females are quiet, calm, no issues with pregnancy and have uncomplicated deliveries. This beautiful Tuscan Gold daughter carries genetic excellence on both sides of her pedigree. The Accoyo Express line is known to produce fine, dense, champion fleeces of color with total body coverage. Tuscan Gold adds to these characteristics by maintaining the fineness and contributes his trademark extreme brightness, and uniformity in an elite fleece. This girl is no exception. Her medium fawn dam had a 17.2 micron cria fleece and was 19.9 as a yearling with good density. Tuscan maintained a 19.9 micron fleece at age 4. Amber Wave exhibits good bone and is good size for her age, has Daddy's upright stature and presence, balanced frame, level topline and nice head. She is one of the densest of the Tuscan crias with medium to high frequency crimp style. Her dam is an easy keeper and an attentive mother with good milk production as evidenced by Amber's rapid growth and good size. Stellina’s sire, Tuscan Gold, has passed on his genetic excellence in this female who has a fine, extremely bright, bundled, medium fawn fleece that is uniform in color and character. He has added a solid, balanced body to this girl with level top line and beautiful head. Her name means "Little Star", and she is just that. Her fleece has long staple length, fine handle, and totally covers her feminine frame. Full Peruvian Stellina comes from an import dam who is the perfect production female, no issues with pregnancy or delivery and an attentive mom with good milk production. Full sister Luna had a cria fleece micron of 14.7 and consistently places in the ribbons, including 1st at GWAS in a competitive white class. Luna is so good she will remain at Bella Vita as the foundation for our white line. Stellina is a grow-and-show alpaca with lots of potential in the show ring and the breeding barn. She is a true black with silky type huacaya fleece - beautiful bundles of very bright, true black, crimpy fiber. She is a full sister to our elite champion junior herdsire, Prosecco, and out of Cocoa Puffe, our premier dam at Bella Vita. She is covered with this silky fleece, head to toe. As with her maternal and paternal siblings, she has a spectacular head and a very quiet personality, trait passed from her dam. There were already folks wanting to buy this gal before she was weaned and only a few months old, but Black Silk will remain in the Bella Vita foundation herd. We sold our silky huacaya, Toscana, in 2009 so want to keep this silky girl. She is very special and rare with this type of fleece.
